Hazelnut husk brown rot has been identified as a new disease in Liaoning Province recent years. The objective of this study to identify the pathogen. [Method] In study, standard sample hazelnut was collected from Songmudao Base Dalian City, Province. pathogen by studies morphology, pathogenicity, and analyses ITS LSU sequences. isolated purified, which confirmed Koch’s postulates. symptoms after inoculation were same those directly diseased tree, showed that it pathogenic fungus. cultural characteristics conidia morphology fungi similar Botrytis cinerea’s. sequences compared associated strain GenBank, with 100% identity cinerea (GenBank accession number: MN589848.1) KU140653.1), respectively. infection status on husks also observed. suggested leading cinerea.
